African separatism in 4th century AD

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce bylo popsat a objasnit události, které se staly v římské severní Africe ve 4. st. n. l. Toto století bylo v Africe plné nepokojů a povstání, které souvisely nejen s lidovou nespokojeností vůči římské správě v této provincii, ale také s šířením křesťanství. Právě rozdílné názory na přijetí odpadlíků znovu do církve způsobily nejzásadnější rozkol v africké církvi. A problémy v církvi společně se špatnou sociální situací byli hlavní příčinou afrického separatismu ve 4. st. n. l.

Abstract:

The aim of this work was to describe and clarify events which happened in the Roman North Africa in the 4th century. In Africa this century was full of disturbances and revolts which were connected not only to people´s dissatisfaction over Roman administration in this province but also with spreading of Christianity. Different opinions on admission of apostates back to church caused the principal conflict in African church. And problems in church connected with bad social situation were the main cause of African separatism in the 4th century.
