Testy inteligence WISC-III a PDW ve vztahu ke školní úspěšnosti žáků školního věku bez poruch učení

Intelligence tests PDW and WISC-III in relation to school achievement of schoolchildren without learning disabilities

Abstract:

Cílem studie bylo ověřit vztahy mezi verbálními IQ testů inteligence PDW (Pražský dětskýWechsler) a WISC - III (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, 3. revize standardizovaná na českou populaci) vzhledem ke školní úspěšnosti u dětí školního věku. Do výzkumného vzorku bylo zařazeno 100 dětí (54 chlapců, 46 dívek) ve věku 6 až 13 let, s diagnózou sníženého intelektu, poruchy motoriky a smyslů, neurotické a emoční poruchy nebo poruchy aktivity, pozornosti a chování. K analýze dat byly použity deskriptivní statistiky a korelační analýzy. Závěry jsou srovnatelné se zjištěními z předchozích studií a zkušenostmi poradenských psychologů z praxe: WISC - III měří děti na nižší hladině IQ než PDW. Školní úspěšnost dětí lze lépe předikovat na základě výkonů v testu WISC - III než v testu PDW. Zjištěny byly významné rozdíly >15 bodů mezi verbálními IQ testů PDW a WISC - III u jedné třetiny souboru.

Abstract:

The goal of our study was to verify the relationships between intelligence tests PDW (Prague Children Wechsler) and WISC-IIICZ (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children 3. edition standardized on Czech population) with school achievement. The sample consisted of 100 children (54 boys and 46 girls) ages 6, 25 to 13 years, with diagnosis mental retardation, sensory disabilities and motor disabilities, emotional disabilities, ADHD and ADD. Participants were administrated the PDW, the WISC-III, and the School Questionnaire. The data were analysed by descriptive and correlation analysis. The results are in agreement with previous findings and psychologists work experiences: WISC-IIICZ with school achievement correlations were consistently significantly higher than those found for the PDW, findings of WISC - III can predict school achievement better than PDW. Significant differences > 15 points between PDW verbal IQ and WISC - III verbal IQ were found in one third sample.
