Escherichia coli je fakultativně anaerobní gramnegativní bakterie nacházející se v lidském střevě. Do tohoto rodu patří jak patogeny způsobující vážná onemocnění, také komenzálové a dokonce probiotické kmeny. Probiotika jsou definována jako živé mikroorganismy, které při podání mají pozitivní vliv na hostitele. Abstract:
Escherichia coli is a facultative anaerobic gram-negative bacterium found in the human intestine. This genus includes pathogens causing serious diseases, commensals and even probiotic strains. Probiotics are defined as living bacteria that confer a health benefit to the host.
