Patients view of anticoagulition therapy when being ill with atrial fibrillation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou antikoagulační terapie u pacientů s fibrilací síní. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak pacienti s fibrilací síní a současně po prodělané cévní mozkové příhodě, tranzitorní ischemické atace a infarktu myokardu vnímají antikoagulační terapii. Do výzkumu byli zařazeni pacienti užívající přímá perorální antikoagulancia a část pacientů užívající lék Warfarin. V teoretické části jsou popsány teoretické poznatky o onemocnění fibrilace síní a rozebrána problematika antikoagulační terapie. V empirické části byly popsány výsledky pomocí deskriptivní analýzy a statistické ověření dat, která byla získána v rámci kvantitativního výzkumu pomocí dotazníkového průzkumu. Z průzkumu vyplývá, že léčba přímými perorálními antikoagulancii je pro pacienty komfortnější volbou a zlepšuje kvalitu jejich života.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of anticoagulation therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation who have also had a stroke, transient ischemic attack, and myocardial infarction. The aim of the thesis was to find out how patients with atrial fibrillation and at the same time after a stroke, transient ischemic attack and myocardial infarction perceive anticoagulation therapy. The research included patients using direct oral anticoagulants and other patients using Warfarin. The theoretical part describes a theoretical knowledge of atrial fibrillation and discusses the issue of anticoagulation therapy. In the empirical part, the results were described using descriptive analysis and statistical verification of data obtained within quantitative research using a questionnaire survey. The survey shows that treatment with direct oral anticoagulants is more comfortable for patients and improves their quality of life.
