The difference in the running economy while running barefoot and with running shoes

Abstract:

V případové studii zkoumám rozdíly ukazatelů běžecké ekonomiky (kardiorespiračních a metabolických parametrů, ukazatelů běžecké techniky) člověka za předdefinované intenzity zátěže. S využitím nejnovějších poznatků z vědních oborů fyziologie, biomechaniky a fyziky jsem se pokusil zjistit, jaký bude rozdíl vybraných ukazatelů ekonomiky běhu při běhu naboso a v běžecké obuvi. Shromáždil jsem teoretické poznatky, stanovil jsem podmínky, za kterých může dojít k ovlivnění ukazatelů běžecké ekonomiky. Vybral jsem 2 dobrovolníky z řad běžců ve věku 22 a 29 let. Podle vypracované metodiky vycházející z Wintera et al. (2007) a Hellera a Vodičky (2011) jsem provedl laboratorní měření pořadí: InBody, test VO2max, test v běžecké obuvi a test naboso s následujícím laboratorním vybavením: běžecký ergometr Katana Sport 40, hrudní pás Garmin, hodinky Garmin Forerunner 910 XT HR Premium, anténní rozhraní Garmin Connect, analyzér Cortex Metalizer 3B, kameru GoPro HD HERO3+ Black Edition, váhu Sanitas SDS 64, software SportTracks, Microsoft Excel 2013, VirtualDub a Statistica 12.

Abstract:

The case study examines the differences of indicators the human running economy (cardiorespiratory and metabolic parameters, the main indicators of running economy) on predefined levels of exertion. Using the latest knowledge from the disciplines of physiology, biomechanics and physics, I tried to figure out what the difference will be in selected indicators of the running economy, while running barefoot and running shoes. I collected theoretical knowledge and I set the conditions which may affect the running economy. I picked two volunteers 22 and 29 years old, who are well trained runners. According to drawing up a methodology based on the Winter et al. (2007) and Heller & Vodička (2011), I performed this laboratory measurement sequence: InBody, VO2max test, test in shoes and barefoot test with the following laboratory equipment: running ergometer Katana Sport 40, Garmin chest strap watch Garmin Forerunner 910 XT HR Premium, antenna interface Garmin Connect, gas analyzer Cortex Metalizer 3B, camera GoPro HD HERO3 + Black Edition, weighing-machine SDS Sanitas 64, SportTracks software, Microsoft Excel 2013, VirtualDub and Statistica 12.
