Meeting as a Management Tool of the Municipality Managers in Luhačovice

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je používání porady jako nástroje managementu z pohledu vedoucích pracovníků Městského úřadu Luhačovice. Teoretická část se věnuje otázkám managementu a specifikaci jeho rysů ve veřejném sektoru. Přibližuje problematiku porad z hlediska jejich typologie, organizační stránky a významu pro zúčastněné strany. Praktická část je postavena na kvalitativním výzkumu a vychází z dat získaných polostrukturovanými rozhovory s manažery úřadu. Zevrubně popisuje charakteristické znaky porad této organizace a vnímání porady jako nástroje managementu vedoucími pracovníky. Shromážděné údaje ukázaly cestu k možné inovaci systému porad v Městském úřadu Luhačovice a jsou předmětem doporučení pro praktické využití, uvedené v závěrečné části práce.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the use of meetings as a management tool seen from the perspective of leading staff members in the Luhačovice Municipal Office. The theoretical part introduces the issues of management itself and the specification of its features in the public sector. There is explained the typology of meetings, their organization and benefits for the parties who participate. The practical part is based on qualitative research and uses data obtained from semi-structured interviews with the managers of this office. It briefly describes the characteristic features of meetings in this organization and the perception of a meeting as the management tool by the leading staff members. The gathered data suggest possible innovations in the system of meetings in the Luhačovice Municipality and there are also recommendations for their practical use shown in the closing part of the thesis.
