Significant meteorological events Kyrill and Emma

Abstract:

Úkolem mé bakalářské práce je popis a následné shrnutí následků meteorologických úkazů, které byly pojmenovány orkán Kyrill a orkán Emma. Toto označení, které těmto úkazům dal tisk, zřejmě z důvodu rychlosti větru, však není správné. Ve skutečnosti se jednalo o dvě velmi silné tlakové níže, které měly jádro vzniku nad Atlantským oceánem. Postupně, díky proudění, postupovaly nad Evropu. Kyrill udeřil z 18. na 19. ledna. Rok poté, na začátku března 2008 se nad Evropou objevil další orkán, který byl pojmenován Emma. Z důvodu zažitého pojmenování úkazů jako orkán Kyrill a Emma, budu toto označení, byť není přesné, ve své práci užívat.

Abstract:

The task of my bachelor work is describing a then summaring the results of meteorological phenomenons, which were named cyclone Kyrill and windstorm Emma. This tag, which press gave to them, probably because of the wind speed, is not actually right. In fact there were two cyclons, which had the epicenter of formation over the Atlantic ocean. They proceeding over the Europe gradually because of convention. Kyrill hit 18th to 19th January. One year after, at the beginning of March 2008 another cyclone, named Emma, appeared over the Europe. Beacause of well-know terms for these phenomenons such as „cyclone Kyrill“ and „tornado Emma.“ I use these terms in my work, although they are quite incorrect.
