The elements of expressive therapies as part of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi zařazování prvků expresivních terapií v rámci výchovně-vzdělávacího procesu žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol, z nich tři kapitoly jsou teoretické a čtvrtá je věnována výzkumnému šetření. První kapitola je zaměřena na vymezení lehkého mentálního postižení, jeho etiologii, psychologické zvláštnosti těchto jedinců a blíže popisuje jejich osobnost. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na vzdělávání žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením, legislativu, základní školu praktickou a její bližší popis a možnost využití poradenských služeb. Expresivní terapie a jejich využití ve vzdělávání jsou popsány v kapitole třetí. Jedná se o arteterapii, muzikoterapii, biblioterapii a dramaterapii a bližší informace o možném zařazování jejich prvků do výuky. Čtvrtá část je věnována výzkumnému šetření, kde byla použita metoda kvalitativního výzkumu s využitím případových studií. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, zda zařazování prvků expresivních terapií může zvýšit efektivitu vzdělávání jedinců s lehkým mentálním postižením. Dílčími cíli byla realizace připravených hodin se zařazenými prvky expresivních terapií a jejich následná analýza a zhodnocení.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the possibility of incorporating expressive therapies into the pedagogical education process for students with mild mental disabilities. The thesis is divided into four chapters, three of which are theoretical, and the fourth is solely research. The first chapter is focused on the definition of a mild mental disability, etiology, psychological particularities of individuals and more detailed description their personality. The second chapter is focused on the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities, legislation, elementary school with more detailed description and the possibility of the use of support services. Expressive therapies and their use in education are discussed in the third chapter. Art therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, and bibliotherapy and how they could be integrated into as class situation are all covered in the third chapter. Finally the fourth section focuses on qualitative research with the use of case studies. The main aim of this thesis was to determine whether the inclusion of expressive therapies can increase the effectiveness of the education on individuals with mild mental disabilities. Secondary objectives were to make observations over a period of time using elements of expressive therapies and their successive analysis and evaluation.
