To explain the findings from the perspective of the Czech Police in cases involving corpses of unknown identity and skeletal remains

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na činnost policistů Služby kriminální policie a vyšetřování jako věcně příslušného orgánu pro objasňování a prověřování nálezů mrtvol neznámé identity a kosterních nálezů. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje základní problematiku související s tímto tématem. V jednotlivých kapitolách mimo jiné popisuje metody a postupy policejních orgánů a spolupráci s dalšími institucemi, vedoucí k úspěšnému objasňování případů. Také popisuje způsoby identifikace mrtvol neznámé identity a kosterních nálezů. Praktická část byla zaměřena na problematiku nálezů mrtvol neznámé identity na železnici, jelikož ve většině případů, vzhledem k devastujícím mnohačetným zraněním, nelze na místě zjistit identitu - totožnost takové mrtvoly. Následující průzkum, který byl proveden mezi policisty Služby kriminální policie a vyšetřování v rámci Krajského ředitelství policie Moravskoslezského kraje, ověřuje, jak samotní policisté, podílející se na objasňování případů nálezů mrtvol neznámé identity, vnímají tyto případy a zda jsou schopni takové případy vyřešit do zdárného konce.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the activities of the police officers in the Criminal Investigation Police, in essence, as the competent authority for identification and verification of unknown identities, corpses and skeletal findings. The theoretical part explains the basic issues related to this topic. Each chapter also describes the methods and procedures of police authorities and cooperation with other institutions for a successful outcome of cases. It also describes ways of identifying corpses of unknown identity and skeletal findings. The practical part was focused on the issue of finding the corpses of unknown identity on the train rail, as in most cases, given the countless number of devastating injuries, you can't spot-check the identity of a corpse. The following survey was conducted among officers of the Criminal Investigation Police and the Reginal Directorate, to prove themselves as police officers involved in the clarification of finding corpses of unknown identity, see these cases through and wheter they are able to bring such cases to a successful end.
