UNRWA activities in the West Bank of the Jordan River and the Gaza Strip since signing the Oslo Accords

Abstract:

Nejprve jsou zde vylíčeny události,které vedly ke vzniku problému palestinských uprchlíků a ke vzniku organizace UNRWA, a jsou zde uvedeny základní údaje o její činnosti. Poté se práce zabývá situací na okupovaných územích od podpisu Dohod z Osla a činností UNRWA. Tato část je rozdělena na 3 období: Období od podpisu Dohod z Osla, období 2. intifády a vládu Hamásu v Pásmu Gazy. Je zde popsán vývoj činnosti UNRWA v souvislosti s měnící se situací na okupovaných územích. V poslední kapitole se práce zabývá vztahem s Palestinskou autonomií a se státem Izrael.

Abstract:

First, there are portrayed the events that led to the creation of the Palestinian refugee problem and UNRWA and there given basic informations about its activities. Then the paper deals with the situation in the occupied territories since the signing of the Oslo Accords and the activities of UNRWA. This section is divided into 3 periods: the period since the signing of the Oslo Accords, the second intifada and the Hamas government in Gaza.There is described the development activities of UNRWA in the context of the changing situation in the occupied territories. In the last chapter of the work deals with the relationship with the Palestinian Authority and Israel.
