Commented translation of an excerpt from a medical text

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a commented translation of an excerpt from a medical text from French language into Czech language. The source text deals with the topic of transient loss of consciousness in adults and its diagnostic and therapeutic management. The thesis is divided into three main parts: the first part includes the source text and its translation; the second part represents linguistic analysis. The bilingual French-Czech glossary of terms selected from the source text follows in the third part.

Abstract:

Le pre?sent me?moire de master se concentre sur la traduction commente?e d'un extrait d'un texte scientifique de la langue franc?aise vers la langue tche?que. Il s'agit d'un texte relevant du domaine me?dical. Plus concre?tement, le texte de de?part pre?sente des recommandations professionnelles en cas des pertes de connaissance bre?ves de l'adulte et se concentre sur le sujet de la prise en charge diagnostique et the?rapeutique des syncopes. Le me?moire est divise? en trois parties principales : la premie?re partie est consacre? a? la pre?sentation du texte de de?part et de la traduction. La partie suivante se focalise sur les analyses linguistiques et la dernie?re partie comporte un glossaire bilingue des termes choisis du texte de de?part.
