Comparative analysis of leading manufacturers in the automotive industry on the Czech market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá komparativní analýzou předních výrobců osobních automobilů v České republice. Jedná se o automobilové výrobce Škoda Auto a. s. a Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech s. r. o. Práce je členěna do tří hlavních kapitol. První kapitola charakterizuje český automobilový průmysl, jeho význam pro národní ekonomiku a konkurenční prostředí v rámci tohoto odvětví. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na dva nejdůležitější výrobce automobilů na českém trhu, zkoumá exportní trhy, produktové portfolio, a také přináší ekonomickou analýzu těchto podniků. Třetí kapitola obsahuje kvantitativní analýzu, její teoretické vymezení a následné dílčí výzkumy, zpracované v tabulkách a grafech, založené na registracích nových osobních automobilů. Pomocí komparativní analýzy byl zhodnocen vývoj výrobní a prodejní sféry, ekonomických ukazatelů a tržních podílů těchto výrobců, v rámci českého a evropského trhu. Cílem této práce bylo na základě registrací nových automobilů provést výzkum prodeje osobních automobilů v České republice, dle klasifikace automobilů do obchodních tříd. Dále byl tento výzkum porovnán s výrobním zaměření zmiňovaných automobilových výrobců.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with a comparative analysis of leading manufacturers of passenger cars in the Czech Republic. These are the car manufacturers Škoda Auto a. s. and Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech s. r. o. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter characterizes the Czech automotive industry, its importance for the national economy and the competitive environment within this industry. The second chapter is focused on the two most important car manufacturers on the Czech market, examines export markets, product portfolio and provides an economic analysis of these companies. The third chapter contains a quantitative analysis, its theoretical definition and subsequent partial research, processed in tables and graphs, based on registrations of new passenger cars. Using comparative analysis, the development of the production and sales sphere, economic indicators, and market shares of these manufacturers within the Czech and European markets were evaluated. The aim of this thesis was to conduct a research of passenger car sales in the Czech Republic according to the classification of cars into business classes based on the registrations of new passenger cars. Furthermore, this research was compared with the production focus of the mentioned car manufacturers.
