Crisis Management of Distribution Company Aerofilms in the Time of Pandemic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá krizovým managementem filmové distribuční společnosti Aerofilms v souvislosti s pandemií covid-19. Hlavním cílem práce je posouzení, jakým způsobem společnost Aerofilms reagovala na krizovou situaci.Teoretická část vymezuje pojmy filmové distribuce, její procesy a nástroje. V této části je také obecně představena distribuční společnost Aerofilms. Dále se práce zabývá krizovým managementem, primárně ve spojení s filmovou distribucí a pandemií. V závěru teoretické části je stručně definován průběh pandemické situace a její dopad na kulturní sektor. Praktickou část tvoří kvalitativní výzkum ve formě hloubkových rozhovorů s relevantními aktéry společnosti Aerofilms. Cílem výzkumu je prozkoumat strategii krizového řízení distribuční společnosti v době pandemie a interpretovat dílčí postupy, kterými společnost reagovala na tuto krizovou situaci.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the crisis management of the film distribution company Aerofilms in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. The main objective of the thesis is to assess how Aerofilms responded to the crisis situation. The theoretical part defines the concepts of film distribution, its processes and tools. This section also presents the distribution company Aerofilms in general. Furthermore, the thesis deals with crisis management, primarily in relation to film distribution and pandemics. The theoretical part concludes with a brief definition of the pandemic situation and its impact on the cultural sector. The practical part consists of qualitative research in the form of in-depth interviews with relevant actors at Aerofilms. The aim of the research is to explore the crisis management strategy of the distribution company during the pandemic and to interpret the sub-processes by which the company responded to this crisis situation.
