Focus of mill leats and designed restoration of the selected part of the Modla stream

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá mlýny mezi obcemi Vlastislav a Teplá na Lovosicku na potoce Modla a návrhem revitalizačního opatření na potoce Modla. V první části se diplomová práce zaobírá obecnými přírodními podmínkami a jejich vztahem k potoku. V druhé části jsou mlýny, náhony, odtoky a nádrže uvedeny do historického kontextu a jsou vizualizovány v prostředí SketchUp. Ve třetí části jsou uváděna porovnání současného stavu potoka Modla a jeho okolí se stavem v minulosti na mapách 1., 2. a 3. vojenského mapování v prostředí ArcGis. V poslední části jsou zobrazována revitalizační opatření, která byla dokončena v roce 1996 a jež reagovala na nepříznivý vliv napřimování potoka v polovině minulého století a dále jsou vizualizována navržená komplexní revitalizační opatření v dolní části toku a v blízkosti Čížkovické cementárny.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the Modla creek mills between the villages of Vlastislav and Teplá in the Lovosice district, and the restoration arrangement suggestion on the Modla creek. The first part of the diploma thesis revolves around the general natural conditions and their relationship to the creek. In the second part the mills, water races, drains, and reservoirs are historically contextualize and visualized in the SketchUp environment. The third part uses the ArcGis environment to compare the present situation of the Modla creek and its surroundings with the situation in the historical maps of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd military mapping. The last part displays the restoration measurements, finished in 1996, responding to the negative impact of the creek straightening in the middle of the last century. Furthermore it visualizes the project of the complex restoration measure in the lower part of the creek and close to the Čížkovice Cement Plant area.
