Piano styles in jazz and the pianist Art Tatum
Abstract:
Diplomová práce „Klavírní styly v jazzu a pianista Art Tatum“ se zabývá zásadními klavírními styly v jazzu. Pojednává také o jazzovém klavíristovi Artovi Tatumovi, jeho životě, celoživotní činnosti a odkazu. Stručně se zabývá vybranými skladbami z alba The Art Tatum Solo Masterpieces Vol. 2 (1953) a připomíná významné klavírní hráče v jazzovém světě.
Abstract:
Diploma thesis „Piano styles in Jazz and the pianist Art Tatum” deals with fundamental piano styles in jazz. Also deals with jazz pianist Art Tatum, his life, lifelong activity and legacy. Briefly deals with selected compositions from The Art Tatum Solo Masterpieces Vol. 2 (1953) and reminds of outstanding piano players in the jazz world.
