The Baroque fortresses in Terezín and their opportunities of application in the adventure tourism.

Abstract:

Má Bakalářská práce se zabývá barokními pevnostmi v Terezíně a možnostmi jejich využití v zážitkovém cestovním ruchu. Teoretická část obsahuje stručné zavedení do problematiky zážitkového cestovního ruchu a výstižně se snaží proniknout do architektury pevnostního stavitelství období vrcholného baroka se zvláštním zaměřením na pevnost Terezín. Dále vztahuje tento stavitelský počin do historických souvislostí a komparuje Terezín s ostatními pevnostními komplexy po celé Evropě. Hlavním cílem praktické části je analyzovat využití barokních pevností Terezín pro cestovní ruch se speciálním zaměřením na aktivní zážitkový turismus. V průběhu textu jsou také zkoumány budoucí možnosti rozvoje a revitalizace této chráněné památky po vzoru obdobných staveb. Jedním z cílů je také průzkum, zda je Terezín dostatečně a cíleně propagován. Tato práce se také zaměřila, jak hluboké je povědomí o této památce ze strany studentů a zda je Terezín znám pouze jako památka Holocaustu a ne jako původní část barokního opevnění Zemí Koruny české v době válek o rakouské dědictví. Jednou z klíčových částí této práce je SWOT analýza. Metody získávání informací využité v mé práci bych rozdělil na primární a sekundární. Za primární informace považuji dotazníkové šetření, které bylo prováděno formou dotazníkových archů rozdaných po školských zařízeních v Ústeckém kraji. Sekundární pak ze statistik, internetových zdrojů, odborných publikací a dokumentárních filmů. Tato práce se snaží definovat důvody dlouhodobého úpadku této památky, zejména fyzického stavu a vzhledu zbytků budov. Přínosem by také měla být analýza současných projektů na revitalizaci a odhalení jejich nedostatků

Abstract:

My bachelor’s dissertation follows up the baroque fortresses in Terezin and the possibilities of their use in tourism of experience. The theoretical part contains a brief introduction to the matter of the tourism in Terezin. My dissertation is aimed to get through the architecture of the fortresses in a phase of high baroque with a special attention on Terezin. It also describes this act of much architecture as a place of rich history. Not less important it also compares Terezin with other fortresses all over Europe. The main objective of the practical part is to analyze a possible use of the baroque fortresses for tourism with a focus on active tourism. In the course of text the possibilities of future development are thoroughly examined and so is the possibility of revitalization of this protected monument. Another objective is a research that is aimed to find out if Terezin has a sufficient publicity. Among other things the thesis focuses on a questionnaire of the awareness about Terezin from many students. The other question is if Terezin is known just as a memory of Holocaust or if it´s also known as an original part of the baroque fortification of the Bohemian crown. I have used two methods of the acquiring the information here. I would split them up as a prime method and a secondary method. For the prime one I consider a questionnaire which was carried though the sheets filled by many students from schools from my region. The information that I have gained from the second method are based on statistics, web-sources, vocational publications and on documentary films. This work defines all reasons of a retentive comedown this monument. By this I meant the structure and the appearance of the buildings that have left there. As a benefit we should consider the analysis of contemporary projects for the revitalization and a detection of imperfections.
