The quality of well waters in the Soběšice area

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zdokumentování kvality vod vybraných studánek v okolí Soběšic. Studovaná oblast leží severně od Brna. Geologické podloží je tvořeno brněnským masivem, na kterém se nachází zbytky neogenních sedimentů a říčních teras. Byly provedeny tři terénní odběry v odlišných částech roku ze studánek: Zaječí studánka, studánka Přátelství, Tomečkova studánka a pouze jeden odběr u Konšelovy studánky, a to z důvodu vyschnutí. U studánek byla změřena konduktivita v terénu konduktometrem Multi 350i. V laboratoři byl u odebraných vod stanoven obsah chloru dle Mohra a obsah sodíku a draslíku atomovou absorpční spektrometrií. Za předpokladu, že studánky budou primárně využity ke konzumaci, je jedinou studánkou, která splňuje limity pro pitnou vodu studánka Zaječí. Ostatní studánky jsou nevyhovující. U většiny studánek bylo primárním zdrojem zvýšeného obsahu chloridů ve vodách zimní sole-ní silnic. Bylo zjištěno, že z dodatečných odběrů u Tomečkovy studánky (květen, červen 2020) byl vyšší obsah sodíku vlivem zvětrávání podložního granitu brněnského masivu a u studánky Přátelství (červenec 2020) byl zvýšený obsah chloridů v důsledku iontové výměny sodíků na jílových minerálech.

Abstract:

The aim of the work was to document the water quality of selected springs in the vicinity of Soběšice. The study area is located north of Brno. The geological subsoil is formed by the Brno massif, on which there are remnants of Neogene sediments and river terraces. Three field samples were taken in different parts of the year from the springs: Zaječí spring, Přátelství spring, Tomeček's spring and only one sample at Konšela's spring, due to drying out. The conductivity of the springs was measured in the field with a Multi 350i conductivity meter. In the laboratory, the chlorine content of the collected waters was determined accord-ing to Mohr and the content of sodium and potassium by atomic absorption spectrometry. Assuming that the springs will be primarily used for consumption, the only spring that meets the limits for drinking water is the Zaječí spring. Other springs are unsatisfactory. In most springs, the primary source of increased chloride content in the waters was winter road salting. It was found that from additional samples at Tomeček's spring (May, June 2020) there was a higher sodium content due to weathering of the underlying granite of the Brno massif and at the Přátelství spring (July 2020) there was an increased chloride content due to ion exchange of sodium on clay minerals.
