Hynek of Lichtenburg and Cornštejn

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce se snaží přiblížit postavu moravského šlechtice Hynka z Lichtenburka a na Cornštejně a jeho roli v kontextu historických událostí vlády Jiřího z Poděbrad. Práce obsahuje nastínění doby šlechtice a jeho předchůdců. Stručný přehled významných šlechticů z Lichtenburka se detailněji zaměřuje na rod Bítovských z Lichtenburka, významné Lichtenburské větve. Posléze se věnuje přímo Hynkovi z Lichtenburka a na Cornštejně, sporům s novým českým králem Jiřím z Poděbrad a vztahům s dalšími významnými pány 15. století. Hlavním záměrem práce je sonda do života šlechtice a jeho vlivu na danou dobu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis tries to describe the figure of the Moravian noble Hynk of Lichtenburg and Cornštejn and his role in the context of the historical events of the reign of George of Poděbrady. The work contains an outline of the time of this nobleman and his predecessors. Furthermore, it encompasses a brief overview of important noblemen from Lichtenburg with a more detailed focus on the Bítovský family, an important Lichtenburg branch active in Moravia since the 13th century. Later, it focuses directly on Hynk of Lichtenburg and Cornštejn, including disputes with the new king George of Poděbrady and relations with other important lords of the 15th century. The main purpose of the work is to cast a light on the life of the nobleman and his influence on his period.
