Selected aspects of sickness insurance in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

Abstract:

The master’s thesis Selected aspects of sickness insurance in the Czech Republic and Slovakia examines the mechanisms of sickness insurance systems in the aforementioned countries with focus on the area of incapacity for work. Within the public system, the thesis explains the mechanics of sickness insurance and its purpose within social security. The private sector is examined based on the offers of commercial insurance companies on a national and international level. In the end, the thesis connects the two sectors through individual measures, which are taken to prevent the occurrence of identified negative practices.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca Vybrané aspekty nemocenského pojištění v České republice a na Slovensku skúma mechanizmy systémov nemocenského poistenia v spomenutých krajinách so zameraním na oblasť pracovnej neschopnosti. V rámci verejného systému práca približuje fungovanie nemocenského poistenia a jeho účel v rámci sociálneho zabezpečenia. Súkromný sektor je skúmaný na základe ponúk komerčných poisťovní na národnej a medzinárodnej úrovni. Na koniec práca sektory prepája prostredníctvom jednotlivých opatrení, ktorých cieľom je zabránenie výskytu identifikovaných negatívnych javov.
