Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je priblížiť a porovnať technológie na prenos hlasu v telefónnych a IP sieťach, popísať ich princíp, funkcie a problémy pri implementácii. Ďalej porovnať IP telefóniu s VoIP, aké služby poskytujú a v akých prostrediach môžu byť realizované. Súčasne porovnať nasadenie VoIP v prostrediach prepínania okruhov PSTN a prepínania paketov.
