Abstract:

Téma diplomové práce jsem si vybrala z toho důvodu, že již delší dobu pracuji v oblasti sociálních služeb a že se denně setkávám s generací seniorů a jejich problémy. Zajímal mě vztah společnosti k seniorské generaci, zejména ageistické postoje ze strany společnosti k seniorům. Svůj výzkum jsem zaměřila na výskyt ageismu v naší společnosti. Zajímal mě vztah mladší a starší generace k seniorům. Jako metodu jsem použila dotazníkové šetření. Výsledkem mé diplomové práce bylo potvrzení hypotézy, že se v naší společnosti ageistické názory vyskytují méně často než tolerance a respekt ke stáří. Tato skutečnost mě příjemně překvapila.

Abstract:

I have chosen the topic of my diploma thesis because I have been working in the field of ocial services for quite a long time and because I encounter with seniors and their problems every day. I was interested in the attitude of the society to the generation of seniors mainly the ageistic approach of the society to seniors. I have aimed my research at the occurrence of ageism in our society. I was interested in he relationship of the younger generation to the generation of seniors. As a method, I used questionnaire inquiry. Outcome of my diploma thesis was confirmation of a hypothesis that in our society ageistic opinions occur less often than tolerance and respect to old age. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact.
