Personnel Sufficiency of the Police of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá současnou personální situací Policie České republiky, která se v současné době potýká s personálním podstavem. Cílem práce je vypracovat soubor doporučení, která by měla přispět k zajištění dostatečného počtu policistů k plnění úkolů Policie České republiky. Teoretická část diplomové práce je zaměřena komplexně na problematiku personálního zabezpečení policie a faktory ovlivňující její efektivitu a dostatečnost. Je zde popsán ucelený pohled na současný stav, faktory ovlivňující personální dostatečnost policie. S ohledem na rozsáhlost problematiky je praktická část práce zaměřena na ukončení služebního poměru, tedy tzv. „odchody policistů“. V dotazníkovém šetření budou zjišťovány důvody, proč policisté odešli ze služebního poměru. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaký postoj zaujímají bývalí policisté a jakým způsobem vylepšit „pracovní“ podmínky pro současné či budoucí policisty.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the current personnel situation of the Police of the Czech Republic, which is currently struggling with the personnel base. The goal of the thesis is to develop a set of recommendations that should contribute to ensuring a sufficient number of police officers to fulfill the tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis is comprehensively focused on the issue of police personnel security and factors influencing its effectiveness and adequacy. Here is described a comprehensive view of the current situation, factors influencing the staffing of the police. Considering the scope of the issue, the practical part of the work is focused on the termination of employment, i.e. the so-called "departure of police officers". The questionnaire survey will investigate the reasons why police officers left the service. The goal was to find out the attitude of former police officers and how to improve the "working" conditions for current or future police officers.
