The incidence of parasitic diseases at the Children's Liberec - roundworms and roupa

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci je zpracována problematika dětských parazitárních onemocnění na Liberecku, se zaměřením na helminty a to především na škrkavky (Ascaris lumbricoides a Toxocara canis) a roupy (Enterobius vermicularis). Literární přehled je zaměřen na fenomén parazitismu, vzájemný vztah parazita a hostitele, zoologické rozdělení parazitů a charakteristiku kmene Nematoda. Podrobný popis jsem věnovala vybraným parazitům, jejich morfologii, životním cyklům, diagnostice, nebezpečí přenosu těchto parazitů na člověka, jejich epidemiologii v závislosti na humánním výskytu, klinických projevech, léčbě a prevenci. Data o výskytu parazitů jsem získala z oddělení Klinické mikrobiologie ? úseku parazitologie Krajské nemocnice v Liberci, protiepidemického oddělení Krajské hygienické stanice v Liberci, Národní referenční laboratoře pro střevní parazitózy a několika praktických lékařů pro děti a dorost. Ve své práci také popisuji diagnostické metody k určení jednotlivých parazitů - metody koprologické a metody sérodiagnostické. Výsledkem mé práce je zjištění výskytu a prevalence jednotlivých parazitů v rozmezí let 2001 - 2011 na Liberecku. Nejčastější výskyt byl prokázán u parazita Enterobius vermicularis s 378 nově pozitivními pacienty, nejvyšší prevalence 29% se objevovala v letech 2003 a 2005. Ascaris lumbricoides a Toxocara canis byly shodně ve sledovaném období nově diagnostikovány u 7 pacientů. Nejvyšší prevalence Ascaris lumbricoides byla v roce 2003 a dosahovala hodnoty 31%. U Toxocara canis byla nejvyšší prevalence v roce 2008 s hodnotou 29%. V porovnání prevalence onemocnění v jednotlivých krajích je jednoznačně na vrcholu Ústecký kraj s 17% pro Enterobius vermicularis a Moravskoslezský kraj s 23% pro Ascaris lumbricoides. Liberecký kraj dosahuje u obou parazitů prevalence 1%. Součástí práce je diskuze, ve které komentuji zjištěné výsledky a porovnávám je se závěry z odborné literatury, zmiňuji také některé zajímavé případy nálezů těchto parazitů. V příloze jsou umístěny fotografie z laboratoře Parazitologie z průběhu diagnostických metod.

Abstract:

The thesis analyzes the problem of parasitic diseases of children in the Liberec region, focusing on helminths, especially in the roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides and Toxocara canis) and Pinworms (Enterobius vermicularis). Literature review focuses on the phenomenon of parasitism, the relationship of parasite and host, zoological distribution and characteristics of the strain of parasites Nematodes. I gave a detailed description of selected parasites, their morphology, life cycles, diagnosis, risk of transmission of these parasites to humans, their epidemiology, depending on the human incidence, clinical manifestations, treatment and prevention. Data on parasitism I received from the Department of Clinical Microbiology - Parasitology Section of the Regional Hospital of Liberec, the epidemiological department of the Regional Hygiene Station in Liberec, National Reference Laboratory for intestinal parasitosis and some practitioners for children and adolescents. In his work also describes the diagnostic methods for the determination of individual parasites - coprological methods and diagnostic methods of blood serum. The result of my work is to determine the incidence and prevalence of individual parasites in the years between 2001 - 2011 in Liberec. The most frequent occurrence was detected in parasite Enterobius vermicularis with 378 newly positive patients, the highest prevalence of 29% appeared between 2003 and 2005. Ascaris lumbricoides and Toxocara canis were consistently in the period of newly diagnosed in 7 patients. The highest prevalence of Ascaris lumbricoides was in 2003 and amounted to 31%. In the case of Toxocara canis prevalence was highest in 2008 with a value of 29%. In comparing the prevalence of disease in individual regions is clearly on top of the Ústí Region with 17% for Enterobius vermicularis and Moravian-Silesian region with 23% for Ascaris lumbricoides. The Liberec Region is in both parasite prevalence of 1%. The work is a discussion in which I comment the results and compare them with findings from the literature, I also mention some interesting cases the findings of these parasites. The notes are placed photographs of the Parasitology Laboratory of the diagnostic methods.
