Human Burials in the Area of the Neolithic Houses

Abstract:

V rámci práce bylo sledováno 32 lokalit z neolitu a raného eneolitu. Cílem bylo shromáždit pohřby v souvislosti s domy. Práce je soustředěna na pohřby na sídlišti, resp. pohřby u domů a v domech. Pro další zpracování jsem vyčlenila 3 kategorie pohřbů: a) stavební oběti, b) pohřby v souvislosti s domem (mimo dům, c) pohřby uvnitř stavby. Kromě lidských pohřbů jsou pro srovnání uvedeny i pohřby zvířat a keramických nádob/předmětů. Převládaly pohřby v souvislosti s obydlím (pohřeb „b“). Takto pohřbeny byly nejvíce děti ve věku od 6 měsíců do 6 let. Méně než polovina hrobů měla milodar. Dominuje keramiky, jen ojediněle se vyskytne šperk. Tyto zvláštní pohřby se vyskytují od Ib LnK přes lengyel a pokračují dále do doby římské. Vedle kostrového ritu se objevil i jeden žárový hrob. Antropologické rozbory ukázaly, že pohřbení trpěli patologickou změnou z jednostranné výživy nebo hladověním – cribra orbitalia.

Abstract:

It was observed 32 sites from the neolithic and early eneolithic within this work. The main aim of was to collect burials in connections with the houses. I focused on burials at the settlement, i. e. burials outside and inside the house. The burials were singled out into 3 categories: a) fundamental sacrifices, b) burials in connection with the house (outside the house), c) burials inside the house, Except for the human burials are stated animal burials and ceramic/other sacrifices for comparison. Burials in connection with the house (outside the house, „b“) predominated. The most buried were children at the age of 6 months to six years. Less than the half of the graves had charity. The ceramic predominates, jewel occour only sporadically. These special scrifices/burials (a,b, c) occur from phase Ib of the Linear pottery culture to the Lengyel culture and continue till the Roman Age. Except for inhumations appeared also one cremation. Anthropological analysis showed, that burried individuals suffered pathological change from one-sided food or famishment – cribra orbitalia.
