Identification of factors influencing consumer behavior in the market of alcoholic beverages in Russia

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje analýze vývoje na trhu s alkoholickými nápoji v Ruské federaci, cho- vání spotřebitelů, faktorům ovlivňujícím výběr konkrétního typu alkoholického ná- poje (pivo, víno, lihoviny) i protialkoholní politice a jejímu vlivu na spotřebu alko- holu v Rusku. Hlavní část práce tvoří autorkou provedené dotazníkové šetření. Na jeho zá- kladě jsou vytvářeny statistiky, které potvrzují, nebo naopak rozporují výsledky do- savadních výzkumů. Zaměřují se především na faktory, které ovlivňují chování spo- třebitelů a působí na proces rozhodování. Analýze jsou také podrobovány sociode- mografické charakteristiky respondentů. Z výsledků šetření vyplynula závislost konzumace alkoholických nápojů na faktorech, jakými jsou pohlaví, sezónnost, místo (region) a vztah rodiny k alkoholu (rodinná predispozice). Jak se ukázalo, k velice významným faktorům při nákupu alkoholického nápoje patří kvalita alko- holu a individuální chuťové preference spotřebitele. Ze získaných dat můžeme usu- zovat, kde jsou hlavní limity protialkoholní politiky a kterým směrem je možné opat- ření směřovat. Byly identifikovány také faktory ovlivňující sklon ke zneužívání alko- holu. V práci byl analyzován vývoj na trhu alkoholických nápojů i účinnost jednotli- vých nástrojů protialkoholní politiky a byla představena protialkoholní politika RF a její stěžejní pilíře.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the analysis of the development of the alcoholic beverages market in the Russian Federation, consumer behavior, factors influencing the choice of a specific type of alcoholic beverage (beer, wine, spirits) and anti-alcohol policy and its impact on alcohol consumption in Russia. The main part of the work is a questionnaire survey conducted by the author. Statistics based on this questionnaire confirm or, conversely, contradict the results of previous research. They focus mainly on factors that influence consumer behavior and affect the decision-making process. Socio-demographic characteristics of re- spondents are also analyzed. The results of the survey showed the dependence of alcohol consumption on factors such as gender, seasonality, location (region) and the family's relationship to alcohol (family predisposition). The results show the quality of alcohol and individual taste preferences of the consumer are very im- portant factors when buying an alcoholic beverage. From the data obtained, we can deduce where the limits of anti-alcohol policy are and which direction can be fol- lowed in this field. Factors influencing the tendency to abuse alcohol have also been identified. The work analyzed the development of the alcoholic beverages market and the effectiveness of individual instruments of anti-alcohol policy and introduced the anti-alcohol policy of the Russian Federation and its main pillars.
