Collaboration in augmented reality on the iOS platform

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá kolaborací v rozšířené realitě na platformě iOS. Cílem je provést rešerši projektů a standardů v oblasti metaverza, zaměřit se na možnosti platformy iOS pro rozšířenou realitu a sdílení scény, a navrhnout architekturu mo- bilní aplikace umožňující vizualizaci a manipulaci s objekty ve sdílené scéně. Práce se soustředí na nástroje Core ML, Reality Kit a Vision a zkoumá způsoby předávání informací o sdílené scéně mezi zařízeními. Dále se práce zabývá testováním uživa- telské přívětivosti navrženého řešení, jeho použitelností pro každodenní práci a možnostmi zlepšení. V závěru práce je diskutována návaznost na standardy meta- verza a další možný rozvoj projektu.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on collaboration in augmented reality on the iOS platform. The aim is to conduct research on projects and standards in the field of metaverse, explore the possibilities of the iOS platform for augmented reality and scene sha- ring, and design a mobile application architecture enabling visualization and mani- pulation of objects in a shared scene. The work focuses on Core ML, Reality Kit, and Vision tools and examines ways of sharing information about the shared scene be- tween devices. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the testing of user-friendliness of the proposed solution, its usability for everyday work, and possibilities for impro- vement. In conclusion, the work discusses the connection to metaverse standards and further possible development of the project.
