Implementation of management accounting tools into a start-up firm

Abstract:

Práce navrhuje implementaci nástrojů manažerského účetnictví do začínajícího podniku. Daná problematika souvisí za prvé s výběrem vhodných nástrojů. Ty jsou zvoleny tak, aby podávaly informace o skutečnostech, které v podniku již proběhly, vytvářely podklady pro operativní plánování a pomohly podniku ve strategickém řízení. Za druhé souvisí s popisem předpokladů jejich implementace a jí samotné, kde je hlavní důraz kladen na informační potřeby jednotlivých nástrojů. Za třetí se zhodnocením výhod a nevýhod, které jsou postaveny na textu práce a na souvisejících výzkumech. Nástroje manažerského účetnictví přinášejí začínajícímu podniku větší kontrolu nad náklady, lepší konkurenceschopnost a potenciál k růstu. Hlavním přínosem této práce, vzhledem k její teoretické povaze, je podání inspirativního pohledu na implementaci nástrojů manažerského účetnictví do začínající firmy.

Abstract:

This thesis suggests a process of implementation of management accounting tools into a start-up business and comments its possible outcomes. Issues are related firstly to selection of suitable tools. They are chosen in a way that provides information about facts that have already taken place in a firm, creates informational foundation for operational planning and helps a firm with strategic management. Secondly, they are associated with characterization of requirements to implement them and with description of the implementation itself where a main emphasis is put on informational needs of individual tools. Thirdly they are related to evaluation of positives and negatives which are based on text of the thesis and on related studies. Tools of management accounting are providing a start-up business with more control over costs, better competitiveness and a bigger potential to grow. Primary contribution of this work, considering its theoretical nature, is the inspirational view on implementation of management accounting tools to a start-up firm that it gives
