Homogenization of time series of erythemal UV solar radiation measured at the SOO Hradec Králové

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo homogenizovat časovou řadu erytémového ultrafialového slunečního záření naměřenou v období 1996 – 2012 na Solární a Ozónové observatoři Hradec Králové Robertson-Bergerovým UV-Biometrem. Homogenizace byla provedena s využitím dat ze dvou stejně umístěných Brewerových spektrofotometrů a s důrazem na vliv zenitového úhlu Slunce, celkového ozónu a množství oblačnosti. Na časovou řadu intenzity erytémového ultrafialového záření byla aplikována oprava na kosinovou chybu a oprava na dráhu paprsku ozónosférou, načež byla porovnána efektivita těchto oprav. Jako nejúčinnější se ukázala být oprava na dráhu paprsku ozónosférou, která časovou řadu homogenizovala a minimalizovala průměrnou chybu měření UV-Biometru.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to homogenize a time series of erythemal ultraviolet solar radiation measured between 1996 and 2012 at the Solar and Ozone Observatory Hradec Králové by a Robertson-Berger UV-Biometer. The homogenization was performed using the data from two collocated Brewer spectrophotometers and with the emphasis on the effects of solar zenith angle, total ozone and cloud cover. The time series of erythemal ultraviolet radiation intensity was processed using the cosine error correction and the correction for the sunray path through the ozonosphere, the efficiency of these corrections was then compared. The most effective one turned up to be the correction for the sunray path through the ozonosphere, which homogenized the time series and minimized the mean error of the UV-Biometer measurements.
