Diplomová práce se zabývá ženskými postavami knihy „Jardim das Tormentas“ portugalského spisovatele Aquilina Ribeira. Práce rozebírá nejen tyto ženské postavy, ale také všechny souvislosti, kterými jsou utvářeny či utvářejí ony samy, jako jsou například příroda, láska či postavení ženské postavy ve společnosti postav mužských.
