Receptory aktivované proliferátory peroxizomů (PPARs) jsou jaderné receptory, které hrají důležitou roli při vývoji a diferenciaci orgánů. Tyto receptory se po aktivaci navázáním specifických ligandů mohou podílet na regulaci genů zapojených v celé řadě biologických procesů, jako je metabolismus, apoptóza či nádorová transformace.
