The Woman As a Person in Charge psychological aspects

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci jsem zpracovala téma Ženy ve vedoucích funkcích – psychologické aspekty vyplývající z této pozice. Provedla jsem srovnávací studii ve spolupráci s Akademie für Führungskräfte (přel.: Akademie pro pracovníky ve vedoucích pozicích) a EWMD ( European Womenś Management Development International Network),( přel: Mezinárodní síť pro rozvoj žen – manažerek v Evropě). Dotazníkovým šetřením a srovnáním výsledků výzkumů v obou zemích jsem zjistila zajímavá fakta a souvislosti z pohledu žen i mužů na ženy ve vedoucích funkcích a vzájemnou provázanost se spokojeností v osobním životě. Zabývala jsem se důležitostí dalšího vzdělání vzhledem k zastávané pracovní pozici a mnoha dalšími aspekty. Je lepší ve vedoucí pozici žena nebo muž? Dokáží ženy ve vedoucích funkcích snášet tlak? Zvládnou vůbec unést odpovědnost za výsledek hospodaření firmy? Základem každé úspěšné firmy jsou kvalitní, vysoce specializovaní manažeři a z tohoto důvodu je dobré se těmito aspekty hlouběji zabývat a vzít v úvahu zda by nepřineslo posílení role ženy v rodině a ve společnosti více dobrého než naopak. Jsou muži připraveni na ženy ve vedoucích funkcích?

Abstract:

My Bachelor’s Degree thesis focuses on the topic “Women in Management Positions – Psychological Aspects of the Position”. I carried out a benchmark study in cooperation with Akademie für Führungskräfte (Academy for Management Staff) and EWMD (European Women’s Management Development International Network). Using questionnaire-based interviews and comparing research results from both countries, I discovered interesting facts and contexts from both men’s and women’s viewpoint of women holding management positions and the correlation with personal happiness. I focused on the importance of further education with respect to the position held and many other aspects. Is a woman or a man better for a managing position? Can women endure pressure in management positions? Can they bear the responsibility for the company’s business results at all? Good, highly specialised managers are the cornerstone of any successful business, and this is why it is good to focus on these aspects and consider, whether or not the strengthening of women’s role in the family and society would bring benefits. Are men prepared for women in management positions?
