Psychological contexts of the phenomenon of leadership

Abstract:

Předložená práce, která má povahu rozsáhlé a široce pojaté přehledové studie, se pokouší o shrnutí základních poznatků sociálních věd a z nich především psychologie, které se týkají fenoménu vůdcovství. Nastiňuje základní principy a souvislosti politické psychologie, jakožto sociálně-psychologické subdisciplíny, ze které při popisu vůdcovství vycházíme. Pokouší se také o vymezení základní možné podoby vztahů mezi pojetím moci a vůdcovstvím, a zároveň o vymezení pojmů moc, charisma, autorita, vedení či vůdcovství, to vše s ohledem na jejich možné psychologické konsekvence. Zabývá se různými typy a styly vůdcovství, souvislostmi vůdcovství s interpersonální interakcí a komunikací, povahou vztahů mezi vůdci a jejich stoupenci a také rolí emocí v těchto vztazích. V poslední kapitole jsou pak naznačeny některé z možných přístupů ke zkoumání vůdců a vůdcovství, které vycházejí z různých psychologických paradigmat.

Abstract:

The submitted project which has a character of a large and wide overview study, tries to recapitulate the basic concepts of the social studies especially psychology which analyzes the phenomenon of leadership. It gives a brief description of the basic principles and contexts of the political psychology. It also tries to determine the possible similarities of the relationship between the conception of the power and leadership and at the same times it describes the concepts: power, charisma, authority, management or leadership along with their possible psychological consequences. It also deals with the different types and styles of the leadership, the context of leadership and interpersonal communication and interaction, the character of the relationship between the leaders and their followers and in the end it analyzes the roles of emotions in these relationships. In the last chapter there are indicated some of the possible approaches of exploration the leaders and leadership which comes out from the different psychological paradigms
