The description of the relationship between gender and factors of poverty.

Anotace:

Absolventská práce se zabývá popisem genderu jakožto možného faktoru vzniku chudoby v kontextu České republiky. V první kapitole jsou definovány základní pojmy související s tématem chudoba, jako jsou definice chudoby, klasifikace chudoby, způsoby měření či nezaměstnanosti, pracující chudoba a statistické údaje o chudobě v ČR. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na popis nejčastějších příčin chudoby v ČR. Třetí kapitola je zaměřená na téma gender, genderových rolí a stereotypů, je zde popsán koncept feminizace chudoby a problematické postavení žen na trhu práce. Poslední, čtvrtá kapitola, obsahuje propojení předešlých kapitol a představuje působení genderu jakožto faktoru vzniku a ohrožení chudobou. Zhodnocení tématu a možnosti prevence a řešení zvýšeného rizika chudoby žen, v rámci působení sociální práce a sociální politiky, jsou uvedeny v závěru práce.

Abstract:

The dissertation focuses on theoretical description of connection between the poverty and the gender. The dissertation describes gender as a possible factor of poverty in the context of the Czech Republic. In the first part there are described theoretical terms such as the definition of poverty, the poverty classification, measurement methods, unemployment, working poverty and statistical data about poverty in the of Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the description of the main causes of poverty in this country. The third chapter is focused on the theme of gender, gender roles and stereotypes, there are described the concept of feminization of poverty and the difficult position of women in the labor market. The fourth chapter includes information from previous chapters and represents the effect of gender as a factor of poverty. Evaluation of the topic and the possibilities of prevention and solving of increased risk of poverty for women are mentioned in the conclusion
