Teplomilné doubravy Českého středohoří byly dosud i přes znalosti o jejich floristickém bohatství poměrně málo prozkoumány po vegetační stránce. Relevantní vegetační studie jsou navíc poměrně starého data. Ve snaze tento stav změnit jsem zde v letech 2008–2010 provedl terénní fytocenologický průzkum, při němž jsem zapsal 93 fytocenologických snímků. To this day there is still relatively little known about the vegetation diversity of the thermophilous oak forests in the České středohoří hills, even despite acknowledging its floristic richness.
