Teambuilding as a tool for development of soft skills of employees in companies

Abstract:

The work discusses the link between practising team buildings and its effects on the development of soft skills, as well as their learning and transfer to non-working life. The work defines the development and its options, soft skills, their application and need, teams, teamwork and team buildings. Using qualitative research it explores the views of the participants, who have attended the team building, on its contribution in terms of development of soft skills and their transfer to non-working lives. Research has proven a link and the average values of agreement were higher than value 4, which signaled disagreement with the statement about the possibility of development. There has been connection proven between the number of attended team buildings and the extent of transfer to non-working life. Because of the irregular age distribution of the respondents, nor was proven increased benefit for younger age groups from 20 to 35, which have higher ability to learn. For that purpose, the more extensive research with balanced representation of all age groups would have been necessary.

Abstract:

Práca pojednáva o prepojení medzi realizovaním teambuildingov a jeho účinkami na rozvoj mäkkých zručností, prípadne ich učenie sa, a prenos do mimopracovného života. Práca definuje rozvoj, jeho možnosti, mäkké zručností, ich využitie a potrebu, tímy, tímovú prácu a teambuilding. Pomocou kvalitatívneho výskumu skúma názory účastníkov, ktorí teambuildingy absolvovali, na ich prínos v zmysle rozvoja mäkkých zručností a ich prenosu do mimopracovných životov. Výskumom bolo prepojenie preukázané a priemerná hodnota súhlasu bola vyššia než hodnota 4, ktorá signalizovala nesúhlas s výrokom o možnosti rozvoja / učení sa. Bol preukázaný vzťah medzi počtom absolvovaných teambuildingov a mierou prenosu do mimopracovného života, ktorý by však bolo potrebné ešte bližšie preskúmať. Bol preukázaný vyšší prínos teambuildingov pre mladšie vekové skupiny, avšak kvôli nesúmernému vekovému rozloženiu respondentov nemusí byť toto zistenie relevantné a bolo by vhodné skúmať tento vzťah pri rovnomernom vekovom zastúpení respondentov.
