Establishing work-life balance for women in leadership positions

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá nastolováním work-life balance u žen – matek ve vedoucích pozicích. Jejím cílem je identifikace faktorů, které ovlivňují rovnováhu mezi pracovním a osobním životem pracujících matek a analýza work-life balance u vybraného vzorku respondentek. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí – teoretické, metodologické a praktické. Teoretická část za pomoci odborné literatury pokrývá témata týkající se situace žen na pracovním trhu, work-life balance a well-beingu. Metodická část se věnuje volbě a popisu metody sběru dat a výběru dotazovaných respondentek. Jelikož se jedná o kvalitativní výzkum, stojí praktická část na zanalyzování získaných dat a na závěrečné diskusi, ve které jsou výsledky v kontextu dalších výzkumů zhodnoceny a jsou zformulována doporučení. Konečné výsledky práce rozšiřují dosavadní poznatky řešeného tématu a mohou rovněž posloužit pro případ dalších studií.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the establishment of work-life balance for women – mothers in leadership positions. Its goal is the identification of factors that influence the balance between work and personal life of working mothers and the analysis of work-life balance in a selected sample of respondents. The theoretical part, with the help of professional literature, covers topics related to the situation of women on the labor market, work-life balance and well-being. The methodological part is devoted to the choice and description of the data collection method and the selection of interviewed respondents. Since this is qualitative research, the practical part is based on the analysis of the obtained data and on the final discussion, in which the results are evaluated in the context of other researches and recommendations are formulated. The final results of the work expand the current knowledge of the topic and can also be used for further studies.
