Radical Hussites and Their Contribution to Hussite Movement

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá radikálním husitstvím v Čechách především s ohledem na postavení, význam a vnitřní strukturu radikálních složek husitského hnutí. Husitství je důležitým mezníkem jak českých, tak i evropských dějin, během něhož se odehrálo mnoho změn na politické, ekonomické, sociální a zejména náboženské úrovni. V závěrečné práci je pozornost blíže zaměřena na sociální, politické a náboženské předpoklady vzniku radikálního husitství, stručné představení celkového husitského hnutí, jeho příčin a vzniku. Dále jsou zde rozebírány dvě jednotlivé radikální frakce (táborité a orebité), poté jejich vztah a poměr k ostatním kališnickým skupinám a k římské církvi. Závěr je věnován rozhodující bitvě u Lipan a následnému pádu radikálního proudu husitství.

Abstract:

This Bachelor's thesis is concerned with the radical Hussite fractions in Bohemia with emphasis on their characteristics, historical importance and inner structure of the radical troops. The Hussite movement was a political, economical, social and especially religious milestone in the Czech and European history. This thesis depicts the social, political and religious conditions for the uprise of the radical Hussite fractions and presents the movement as a whole and the reasons for its expansion, too. Furthermore, two radical fractions (Taborit and Orebit brotherhoods) have been extensively described, their relation to the other, less radical, Hussite fractions, and to the Roman Catholic Church. The end of this work was dedicated to the final battle of Lipany and the fall of the radical Hussite fractions.
