Emancipation of the Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan

Abstract:

V této práci se zabývám postavením a emancipací původních obyvatel Tchajwanu. Cílem práce je zanalyzovat aktivity domorodého hnutí a jejich dosažené výsledky v kontextu tchajwanské politiky. Práce je rozdělena na teoreticko-metodologickou a analytickou část. V teoreticko-metodologické části nejprve vymezuji zkoumanou problematiku a cíle práce. Následně definuji domorodé obyvatelstvo, proces emancipace a představuji možné pohledy na práva minorit a původních obyvatel. V další kapitole popisuji vývoj pohledu vůči právům domorodého obyvatelstva na mezinárodní úrovni a následně představuji metodologii práce. V analytické části nejprve charakterizuji Tchajwan, jeho politický vývoj a společnost. Následující kapitola se věnuje původním obyvatelům Tchajwanu, jejich vymezení, tradiční kultuře a současným problémům. V další části popisuji postavení původních obyvatel v historické perspektivě a dále už se věnuji samotnému hnutí za práva původních obyvatel a jeho proměnám. Následně se zaobírám současnými kampaněmi původních obyvatel a postavením domorodců v politickém systému a společnosti. V závěrečné kapitole sumarizuji a vyhodnocuji výsledky v souladu s formulovanými cíly.

Abstract:

In my thesis I deal with the social status and the emancipation of the indigenous peoples in Taiwan. The aim of my thesis is to analyze the activity of the indigenous movement and results achieved in the context of Taiwan policy. The Thesis is divided into theoretical-methodological and analytical part. In the theoretical-methodological part I define aims of my thesis. Then I define the concept of Taiwan indigenous peoples, emancipation process and approaches on the minority and indigenous rights. The next chapter describes perspective to the rights of indigenous peoples at the international level. Then I present methodology of my Thesis. In analytical part I characterize Taiwan´s political history after World War II. and current Taiwanese society. The following chapter deals with the indigenous peoples of Taiwan, their definition, traditional culture and present issues. The next section describes the status of indigenous peoples in historical perspective. Then I deal with indigenous movement and its transformations. In the final charter I summarize and evaluate results in accordance with the formulated objectives.
