Basoon in French Music of the First Half of 20th Century

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o francouzské fagotové hudbě první poloviny 20. století. Cílem práce je přiblížit významné francouzské autory, které pojí nejen tvorba pro fagot, ale i Pařížská konzervatoř jako jejich alma mater. Nedílnou součástí je diferenciace německého a francouzského systému fagotu. Práce je doplněna interpretačním rozborem jednoho z nejnáročnějších a nejvýznamnějších děl fagotové literatury zmíněného období.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is about French bassoon music of the first half of 20th century. The aim of bachelor thesis is to look closer on several significant French authors, which are connected together by bassoon’s music and Paris conservatory. Also a differentiation between German and French bassoon is included in this work. A supplement of the thesis is interpretative analysis of one of the most demanding and most remarkable piece of bassoon’s literature of first half of 20th century.
