The conceptions of death in early adolescence

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Pojetí smrti v rané adolescenci“ se zabývá vnímáním a představami o smrti a umírání mezi dětmi v rané adolescenci. Teoretická část pojednává o fenoménu smrti a umírání a posuzuje zastoupení smrti v psychologii z historického hlediska. Dále se zaměřuje na psychoanalytický a piagetovsky kognitivní vývoj konceptu smrti a problematiku s dosažením vyspělého chápání smrti. Poslední část teorie je zaměřena na vymezení adolescence a popisuje komplexní vývojové procesy v rané adolescenci ve vztahu ke smrti a umírání. Výzkumná část zjišťuje představy o smrti v období rané adolescence.

Abstract:

This bachelor theses "The conceptions of death in early adolescence" is concerned with the perceptions and ideas about death and dying among children in early adolescence. The theoretical part deals with the phenomen of death and dying and historically reviews the place of death in psychology. Further, it focuses on psychoanalitic and Piagetian cognitive developmental of concept of death and the issue of achieving a mature understanding of death. The last part of theoretical part is aimed at defining adolescence and describing the complex developmental processes in early adolescence in relation to the themes of death and dying. The research part analysis death concepts in early adolescence.
