The Motives of Woman in Ivan Jelínek’s Poems

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá motivem ženy ve vybraných dílech českého básníka a spisovatele Ivana Jelínka (1909–2002). Práce nastiňuje autorovou životní a tvůrčí cestu, zaměřuje se však především na motivy ženy a ženství, které se vyskytují v jeho literárních dílech, zvláště pak v básních s biblickou a antickou tematikou. K interpretaci byly vybrány sbírky Perletě (1933), Nedělní procházka (1936), V sobě letohrad (1965) a Sochy / Sedm částek (1970). Cílem práce je analýza způsobů zobrazení ženy a ženství, interpretace jejich role, funkce a významu ve zvolených literárních dílech (zvl. básních) pocházejících z autorova různého tvůrčího období.

Abstract:

The master´s thesis is focused on the motives of woman which are used in the works of the Czech poet and writer Ivan Jelínek (1909–2002). The aim of the work is to characterize the main motives of woman and femininity that appear in his literary works, especially in poems with biblical and ancient themes and analyze their ways of expression, their role, function and position in Jelínek‘s poems from author‘s different creative periods. In the spotlight are mainly his collections of poems called Perletě (1933), Nedělní procházka (1936), V sobě letohrad (1965) and Sochy / Sedm částek (1970). The author’s personal life and his other production are also included.
