Osseointegration and its Application in Lower Limb Prosthetics

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je snaha o vyzvednutí klíčových kroků ve výzkumu a aplikaci osseointegrace. Hlavní pozornost při vývoji osseointegračních technik byla soustředěna vždy na pacienta a tyto postupy jsou výsledkem bezprecedentních úrovní spolupráce mezi poskytovateli zdravotní péče, výzkumnou komunitou a lékařským průmyslem. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou osseintegrace, která zahrnuje princip metody, výhody a nevýhody, konstrukční a materiálovou skladbu implantátu, spojení implantátu a lidské tkáně, mechanické zatížení implantátu, aplikaci v jednotlivých oborech a především její využití v protetice dolní končetiny. Také dokumentuje hodnotu mezioborových a multidisciplinárních přístupů k rehabilitační péči pacientů, která zahrnuje mnoho oblastí výzkumu a klinického úsilí. Praktická část věnuje pozornost analýze zahraničních studií a vlastnímu anketnímu šetření. Zabývá se rozborem získaných výsledků a jejím vyhodnocením.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to persuit important key steps in the research and application of osseointegration. The main focus in the development of osseointegration techniques has always been focused on the patient and these procedures are the result of unprecedented cooperation stages between health care providers, medical research community and health care industry. The theoretical part deals with osseointegration and includes principles of this method, advantages and disadvantages, structural and material composition of the implant, the interconnection of the implant and human tissue, the mechanical loading of the implant, the application in various fields and most of all its use in lower limb prosthetics. It also documents the value of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary ways to patients? rehabilitation, which includes many research areas and clinical effort. The practical part pays attention to the foreign studies analysis and to self public research questionaire. It deals with the analysis of the results and their evaluation.
