Motivation of Single Mothers to Improve Living Standard and Quality of Life of Their Family

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice samoživitelství v kontextu kvality života. Teoretická část představuje vývoj rodiny a postavení matek v rodině, dále uvádí funkce a typy rodin v kontextu rodin úplných a neúplných. Druhá kapitola popisuje koncept samoživitelství, jeho vývoj a současný stav. Dále se zabývá příčinami neúplných rodin a riziky, která jsou tímto způsobem života provázena. Třetí kapitola nabízí náhled na současné možnosti podpory svobodných matek. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je věnována kvalitě života a životní úrovni. Popsány jsou modely kvality, dosavadní výzkumy a současná situace v České republice. Závěr teoretické části je zaměřen na vztah mezi kvalitou života a sociální pedagogikou. Cílem praktické části je analyzovat motivaci matek samoživitelek vedoucí ke zlepšení kvality života jejich rodin, a to skrze podměty navozující motivaci a dále pozitivní a negativní aspekty, které motivaci doprovázejí a ovlivňují.

Abstract:

This Master Thesis deals with the issue of single parenting in the context of the quality of life. The theoretical part presents the development of a family and position of mothers in a family. It also presents the function of families in the context of nuclear and single parent families. The second chapter presents the concept of single parenting, how it developed and its current status. It also deals with the causes of single parenting and describes the risks of this lifestyle. The third chapter presents possibilities of supporting single mothers. The last chapter of the theoretical part presents the concept of the quality of life and the standard of living including quality models, the current research and the current situation in the Czech Republic. The closing part of the theoretical part is focused on relationship between the quality of life and social pedagogy. The aim of the practical part is to analyse the motivation of single mothers which leads to improvement of the quality of life of their families, focused on the subject inducting motivation and positive and negative aspects that they are a part of motivation.
