Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá diskurzní analýzou třech inauguračních projevů britských premiérů a třech inauguračních projevů amerických prezidentů. Všechny projevy jsou studovány na šesti úrovních, které také určují stylisticky důležité znaky. Cílem práce je najít podobnosti a odlišnosti mezi americkými a britskými projevy a důvody pro ně.
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the discourse analysis of three inaugural speeches of British Prime Ministers and three inaugural speeches of American presidents. All the speeches are studied on six levels that also indicate the stylistically significant features. The aim is to find similarities and differences between American and British speeches and the reasons for them.
