Rehabilitation and post-surgical treatment of recurrent shoulder dislocation: case report

Abstract:

Shoulder instability is due to an abnormal translation of the humeral head on the glenoid cavity. The causes can be different: a traumatic event or a condition of excessive congenital laxity. Given the variability and complexity of the pathology, the rehabilitator, in order to do a good rehabilitation job, must know both the pathological aspects and the anatomy of the shoulder itself. Each rehabilitation program must aim to allow the patient to recover the balance between stability and mobility. E

L'instabilita della spalla e dovuta ad un'abnorme traslazione della testa dell'omero sulla cavit? glenoidea. Le cause possono essere diverse: un evento traumatico o una condizione di eccessiva lassit? congenita. Data la variabilit? e la complessit? della patologia, il riabilitatore, affinché faccia un buon lavoro di riabilitazione, deve conoscere sia gli aspetti patologici che l'anatomia della spalla stessa. Ogni programma riabilitativo deve porsi l'obiettivo di far recuperare al paziente l'equilibrio tra stabilit? e mobilit?.
