Intercultural Clashes between British and Aboriginal Society in Australia

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with the cultural and social differences between European, respectively British settlement and indigenous people of Australia. Its aim is to outline the circumstances and consequently the impact of British and Aboriginal encounter since its beginnig til today coexistence. First chapter depcits the aboriginal society before the invasion of Europeans and than the second chapter describes the culture of invaders themselves. The focus of the last two chapters is the encounter of these two cultures and their mutual clashes. These clashes were based on a huge differences that both of the societies divide and till today they have not created an equal relationship.
