Energy drinks

Abstract:

Energetické nápoje jsou významnou komoditou na trhu s nealkoholickými nápoji. První část teoretické práce je věnována jednotlivým sloţkám energetických nápojů a jejich reakcím na lidský organismus. Energetické nápoje jsou dále posuzovány při fyzické a psychické zátěţi, sledována je bezpečnost energetických nápojů, jejich neţádoucí účinky a vztah k vybraným onemocněním. Následuje část, která důkladně rozebírá vztah mezi energetickými nápoji a alkoholem. Závěr teoretické části je věnován společenské roli energetických nápojů, jejich spotřebě a reklamě. Praktická část analyzuje konzumaci energetických nápojů a informovanost spotřebitelů o nich. Bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření pomocí webového dotazníku. Výsledky praktické části v souladu s předpoklady teoretické části potvrzují rostoucí význam konzumace energetických nápojů.

Abstract:

Energy drinks, which are dealt with in this thesis, are an important commodity on the soft drink market. The first part of the theoretical section of the thesis is focused on the individual ingredients of energy drinks, and on their effects on the human organism. Furthermore, the effects of energy drinks in relation to physical and psychological exertion are evaluated; the safety of these products is observed, and so are their adverse effects and thein relation to the selected disorders. There follows a body of text that thoroughly analyses the relation between energy drinks and alcohol. The conclusion of the theoretical section deals with the role of energy drinks in the society, their consumption and marketing strategies. The practical section of the thesis is focused on the consumption of the energy drinks, and also on the foreknowledge among the consumers. A questionnaire investigation was conducted by the means of an internet questionnaire. The results of the practical section−in accordance with the presuppositions stated in the theoretical section−show that the importance of the energy drinks´ consumption is increasing.
