Práce pojednává o vztahu volebního systému prezidentských voleb v USA a organizace tamější předvolební kampaně. Základním předpokladem je, že v důsledku existence kolegia volitelů se kandidáti na prezidenta v kampani soustředí především na státy, ve kterých mají možnost získat více volitelů, a zároveň mají šanci na vítězství. The thesis deals with the relationship of the electoral system used in U.S. presidential election and organization of the local election campaign. The basic premise is that due to the existence of the Electoral College, candidates focuse primarily on the states in which they are able to win more electoral votes, and also have a chance to win.
