Triplexové struktury DNA mohou mít vliv na některé funkce v rámci buňky, například mohou způsobit inhibici genové exprese. Podobný vliv však mohou mít i jiné struktury a úseky na chromozomech a proto je zajímavé tyto úseky a struktury analyzovat. Triplex DNA may affect some functions in the cell, for example may cause inhibition of gene expression. A similar effect may also have other structures or parts of chromosomes and therefore it is interesting to analyze these sections and structures.
