How Cultural Differences Influence Translations of Sitcoms
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis deals with the cultural differences and how they can influence the translation of the sitcom. The thesis includes the analysis of the American sitcom Friends which shows the differences between Czech and English versions.
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kulturními rozdíly a zkoumá, do jaké míry mohou ovlivnit překlad seriálů. Práce obsahuje analýzu amerického seriálu Přátelé, která ukazuje rozdíly mezi českou a anglickou verzí.
